All great projects start with a great design.  At Decksouth whether we are building a high quality deck, porch or outdoor kitchen, nothing starts without the approval of a quality design. A proper design allows us to stay on budget and on time giving our customers the satisfaction of a project well done.

Hardwoods: Since 1997 Decksouth has been designing and building high quality decks in the Atlanta area. The desire to use quality products that were not available led to us pioneering the importation of Brazilian hardwoods as early as 2001. The rich colors tones, rigidity and “wow” factor has made this decking product a staple for our projects. Because of the unique color and grain of each board, no two decks are alike, giving each a one of a kind look only nature can provide. Whether it is Brazilian walnut (IPE), Brazilian cherry (Jatoba) or Brazilian ash (Garapa) this one of a kind decking is extremely dense, tightly grained, resists rot, decay, splinters or fire without any chemical treatments.

 Synthetics: Since the beginning of Decksouth, man made products (composites) have been widely used as an option for a lower maintenance deck. While the early years of the product did not meet expectation levels, recent advancements in technology such as cellular foam PVC and cap stock decking have allowed us to provide a long lasting low maintenance product. With 25 year warranties that include coverage against fading and staining, unmet expectations are a thing of the past. With rich color options and realistic grain patterns, a natural looking low maintenance deck is no longer a dream of the future.

 Pressure treated: Geographically positioned in the southeastern United States there is no shortage of pressure treated pine material. While most pressure treated pine is designed to be used on a standard “deck”, we needed something more. By seeking out and working with a major wood treater on the east coast with over 50 years of wood treating and drying experience, we can now offer our Decksouth customers pine decking that performs. Our decking is designed with a clear grain, kiln dried after treatment (KDAT) surface which reduces cupping, twisting, warping, shrinking and the appearance of large cracks commonly seen in pressure treated decking!

Watertight: A watertight deck can double your outdoor living space by adding a second area to relax and entertain.  With our hidden system we can shed all of the water away from the deck and keep the area under your deck dry.  A wide range of ceiling finishes  and electrical options will make the area under your deck feel like your still indoors.  Whether you want to use the space for storage, a custom outdoor kitchen or just a place to watch the rain fall, a Decksouth watertight deck will be the perfect addition to your backyard.
